The merging of PBiC into the Penn Genomics Facility requires a revised fee structure. Many fees have increased as the direct fee subsidy from the Penn Genome Frontiers Institute (PGFI) is no longer available.
Members of PGFI, the Cancer Center, the Center for Excellence in Environmental Toxicology and the Department of Pathology (founding and annual stakeholders of the Genomics Facility) will receive 25% discounts on list price fees marked with an asterisk.
Investigators participating in other center grants, such as the Mental Retardation and Developmental Disability Research Center or individual grants that directly subsidize members of PBiC may utilize PBiC services marked with an asterisk without cost to the extent of their subsidy.
A 10% surcharge is added for clients not affiliated with Penn, Wistar Institute, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Monell Chemical Senses Center, UPHS hospitals, or the Philadelphia VA Hospital.
Missed appointments that had been previously confirmed will be billed at 1.5 hours.
All users of PBiC services must be authorized personnel on an active PathBioResource project. If necessary, PIs may create or update projects here.
